On August 25, 2024, His Majesty King Abdullah II received the 2023 annual report from the chair of the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, member of the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET).

During the meeting, His Majesty emphasized the importance of continually advancing the Commission's work and strengthening its capabilities. Dr. Muhannad Hijazi, Chairperson of the Commission, reported that in 2023, the Commission recovered or safeguarded funds exceeding 141 million dinars. He also noted that 251 investigative files were referred to the Public Prosecution last year. Additionally, the Commission is focusing on innovative initiatives that integrate technological solutions to combat and prevent corruption.

The meeting was attended by Yousef Hassan Al-Issawi, Head of the Royal Hashemite Court, and Dr. Jaafar Hassan, Director of His Majesty’s Office.
